Sub 2 is probably possible if you had better luck with infighting. As you progress throughout the map the Cyberdemon raises and lowers depending on where you are. This means there may be left over Hell Knights that Cyberdemon hasn't killed yet and cannot reach if you go too fast in the map, which is why I tried to play it safe by waiting until all the Hell Knights were killed. The Hell Knights don't get crushed unlike the Revenants and Archviles.

Also figured out that you're able to hit the switches in the Archvile section without jumping in the hole and saves a good amount of time. I'm also pretty sure that's the intended way without needing to tank all the hits.
