I haven't been doing many runs lately, but I got into the rare mood of wanting to Doom casually in the past week or so, and I've been looking to the Doomed Index to find stuff to play.  Anyway, I noticed this map on the bounty list and got curious what it was about and what made it so hard.  I quickly understood why, as completing the yellow key room in a single cycle felt super impossible.

I noclipped though the door of the yk room and proceeded to play the rest of the map.  The first rj and platforming are easy, although I take them slowly in this demo.  The jump to land next to the lower teleporter before getting the secret is also easy.  I'm not sure what the intended way to get onto the fireblu platform is, but I went with a rocket jump from the outside edge of the upper teleporter.  This isn't too bad, but then you have to immediately pivot into straferunning the catwalks and then the hardest rocket jump of the run (still on the easy side though).

At this point I got curious.  Can't I just shoot the voodoo over the exit line?  I tried it from the back through the bars with the SSG, and it worked!  Well, that makes that part easier.  But where else can I shoot them from?  With the rocket launcher, the answer is just about anywhere. So that means the fastest max route would be to get the yk/rj, get the secret, and then just shoot the dudes.  so the last 1/3 of the map gets skipped, and the starting room is now the only hard part.

Next, I found a spot where I could get the exit trick shot consistently, and did some practice of the first room until I felt like I could almost get it, before proceeding into attempts.  It took 71 attempts to beat the yk room for the first time in a demo (I immediately fell into the lava after going through the door).  50 attempts later I got out again, although I only had 3/4 kills.  I messed up the easy platforming and decided I would take those slowly in future attempts.  I got two exits before this where I failed to kill the last imp, and it took me much longer than I would have expected to get a run with all kills.

Needless to say, with the exit exploit this definitely isn't anywhere close to a DOOMED/Legendary tier.
